Intro:
We live in a generation where the word “god” is common, safe, and socially acceptable — yet the Name of Jesus Christ is avoided, softened, or silenced.
People claim faith but refuse to speak the Name that actually saves. Culture embraces a vague spirituality but rejects the authority, exclusivity, and glory of Jesus.
But Scripture is clear: there is no other Name, no other Savior, no other Lord. This devotional is a call to reclaim boldness, to speak His Name without shame, and to live in a way that reflects true allegiance to Christ.
Honor the Name Above All Names
Our culture talks about “god” constantly —but almost never Jesus.
Because saying “god” is safe. “god” is generic. “god” leaves room for sin, self, and comfort.
But Jesus? Say His Name, and suddenly the room divides.
Because His Name carries weight. His Name demands surrender.
His Name exposes darkness.
His Name separates the sheep from the goats.
And that’s why the world avoids it.
We live in a society where millions claim Christianity…while bowing to the gods of money, fame, lust, pride, and culture.
They wear crosses but reject the Cross.
They say they love God but hate His Word.
They speak blessings while living in rebellion.
They are not following Jesus —they are following the lowercase god of this world.
But imagine a generation unashamed to speak THE Name.
Not “god.” Not “the universe.” Not “a higher power.”
But Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.
Imagine believers who repent for real —who turn off the filth, shut down the noise, step out of the world’s current, and take up their cross like Jesus commanded.
Imagine believers who stop apologizing for the Name that saved them —who stop shrinking back when the world mocks Jesus, and instead lift His Name higher, louder, stronger.
Imagine Christians who refuse to replace Jesus with vague phrases, who refuse to dilute the Gospel to make it palatable, who refuse to let culture scare them into silence.
Imagine a people who understand that Jesus told us we would be hated because of His Name— and instead of shrinking back, they stand even taller.
Imagine a generation who is not afraid of persecution because they know persecution is proof that they belong to Christ.
Imagine a Church that measures devotion not by comfort, but by courage —the courage to speak the Name that divides the world and saves the soul.
Imagine a society where saying “In Jesus’ Name” isn’t awkward, rare, or avoided —but normal. Expected. Celebrated.
Imagine believers who stop introducing their faith with “I’m spiritual, ”and instead boldly confess, “I belong to Jesus.”
Imagine a world where the Christ-followers are recognized instantly —not by stickers, shirts, or slogans —but by their fruits, their holiness, their allegiance, and their unwavering boldness with His Name.
Because here is the truth the world hates to admit:
You can say “god” anywhere. You can talk about “faith” everywhere. You can pray to a “higher power” and no one flinches.
But say “Jesus Christ” and everything changes.
Demons react. Hearts split in two. Truth confronts lies. Light exposes darkness.
His Name forces a decision. His Name demands a response. His Name reveals who belongs to Him — and who doesn’t.
So do not let this culture intimidate you into ambiguity. Do not let society convince you that silence is wisdom. Do not let the fear of offense rob Jesus of the honor He is due.
This is not the hour for quiet Christianity.
This is the hour to speak His Name in your home,
over your children,
in your workplace,
on your social media,
in your friendships,
and in every corner of your life.
If they do not honor Jesus, do not let them disciple you.
If they reject His Name, do not let them shape your values.
If they distort His teachings, do not give them your loyalty.
This is not a call to vague belief.
This is not a call to safe religion.
This is not a call to cultural Christianity.
This is a call to declare Jesus Christ without hesitation.
A call to lift up the Name that saves, the Name that heals, the Name that breaks chains, the Name that returns in glory.
"...at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:10-1
Say His Name now.
Say it boldly. Say it with conviction.
Say it with love. Say it with authority.
Say it unashamed.
Normalize Jesus.
Lift His Name.
Stand for His Name.
Live for His Name.
Suffer for His Name if you must.
This is the moment.
This is the hour.
Declare Jesus.
A Cry to Lift the Name of Jesus
Lord Jesus,
we come before You with hearts that tremble at Your glory and bow at Your Name.
Forgive us for every moment we stayed silent when Your Name deserved to be spoken.
Forgive us for choosing comfort over courage, approval over obedience, and culture over Christ.
Today, Lord, we ask You to ignite a holy fire within us —
a fire that burns away fear, shame, hesitation, and compromise.
Make us people who do not whisper Your Name,
but proclaim it with boldness, love, and unshakable conviction.
Jesus, let Your Name be on our lips more than the names of celebrities,
more than the names of our fears,
more than the names of our worries,
more than the names of our distractions.
Teach our mouths to speak Your Name
in our homes,
in our friendships,
in our workplaces,
in our cities,
and in every hidden corner of our lives.
Let Your Holy Spirit strengthen our voice,
steady our heart,
and fill us with a courage that does not bend beneath the weight of this world.
Lord, make us unashamed.
Unmoved.
Unwavering.
Uncompromising.
People who are marked by the Name of Jesus Christ.
May the world know who we belong to —
not because we say “god,”
not because we speak of faith in general terms,
but because the Name of Jesus rises from our lives like a banner of truth.
And Lord, let that Name
break chains,
heal wounds,
restore families,
awaken prodigals,
call sinners to repentance,
and draw multitudes back to the Cross.
We do not want a quiet faith.
We want a bold one.
We want a faith that lifts high Your Name until the day every knee bows and every tongue confesses You are Lord.
So here we are, Jesus.
Use us.
Send us.
Fill us.
Speak through us.
Let our lives become a megaphone for Your glory.
In the mighty, unmatched, saving Name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
